Travel 4000 is a family run business based in Camborne which provides a diverse and specialist range transport services to both the public sectors, and private individuals and companies.

The business, since its formation in 1998, has expanded from 1 vehicle to the current fleet of 10.Travel 4000 is able offer a wide range of transport services such as:

  • A straightforward journey into town/city for
    shopping or a night out
  • Regular contract work, as currently with our highly
    distinguished and varied clientele
  • Executive travel through airport, station and port runs
  • Multi-passenger transport between single or multiple
    venues / destinations as per the customer's requirements
  • Specialised travel for disabled and special needs customers.

Biography Of The Business Owners


Jim Geach has always lived in Cornwall and originally worked in Compare Maxam for 24 years before starting his taxi business in 1998. Jim and his wife Janet decided to form Travel 4000 so to develop a broader business base for group and specialised travel. In 2004, they officially became recognised business partners.


Jim Geach has been a highly prominent member of the community for many years. He has served as a local county councillor, as well as devoting a significant part of his spare time to members of the community and chairing a number of committees including Cornwall Community Health Council, as well as being a School Governor to a number of the local area's schools and a member of the renowned Holman-Climax male voice choir.Janet jointly runs the administration side of the business with Jim, as well as assisting to provide and deliver the various contracts in the public sector the company undertakes. This comes from her own extensive background and participation in the public sector, as well as operating in a playgroup in Camborne.


Janet has also been very prominent in the local community through her activities at Camborne Parish Church. For a number of years, she was a church warden, as well as a Sunday school teacher for the under 7's, and the chairman of the social committee.


 

Our Goal


Travel 4000's key goal is to provide 'a high quality, professional, specialist and personal mode of travel which meets any requirements of the individuals, groups or organisations within the local community'.


To meet this goal, Travel 4000 over the last 6 years has developed a fleet of multi-purpose and specialised vehicles which is supported by a highly professional team of drivers/escorts who are not only extremely reliable but are also highly dedicated individuals.
Travel 4000 is therefore more than capable of meeting any travel requirements of its diverse and growing range of current and potential customers.
